This recently built cottage compound is comprised of Main Lodge, Master Cabin, Two Suite Sleeping Cottage and Dry Dock Boathouse.
The 3.5 acre property is located on the easternmost point of McLaren Island overlooking both the south channel and a large, sheltered leeward harbour.
Designed by architect John Carley/Toronto and built by Rose Point Construction, the main one-bedroom lodge features an open plan great room with vaulted ceiling, the room large and spacious, allowing for gracious flow between the living, dining and kitchen areas.
Skylights bathe the room with natural light and windows on three sides overlook lovely water views.
A stepped down sunroom, which can be separated from the great room by sliding glass panels, serves as family room, lounge and work out area.
The state of the art kitchen features top end appliances and generous storage and prep areas with central butcher block island and granite countertops.
A walk out from the kitchen leads to an outdoor deck and brick pizza oven/barbeque.
The Master cottage by Marshall Black Carpentry features a large bedroom with floor to ceiling windows, an office and a 3 pc w/c with walk in shower as well as an outdoor shower.
The main and master are both built to the highest standards and finishes and furnishings are all top quality.
Of particular note, in designing the main cottage, the architect also made provision for the addition of more bedrooms.
The sleeping cabin was an original cottage on the site and has been subsequently renovated to create two separate bedroom suites each with a 3 pc. bath.
The entire property is landscaped and linked by granite stone pathways which connect the buildings and open onto a central open patio with firepit overlooking the water.
McLaren Island Point is ideally located for convenient & easy access, just 8 minutes from Glen Burney Marina in Parry Sound via sheltered, well-marked, inner channel…
safe in all weathers, even for inexperienced or timid boaters.
